Hydro Systems Adding a Georgia Manufacturing Facility
Hydro Systems announced it will soon be opening a new manufacturing facility in McDonough, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. This new operation will initially create 60 manufacturing jobs and hopefully increase to 100 within the first year. Furthermore, this plant allows Hydro Systems to expedite manufacturing and shipping to the eastern United States. Hydro Systems expects this facility to be fully operational during mid-year 2018. Additionally, it will allow orders placed by east coast customers to still be hand-crafted and custom made but delivered in about a week instead of waiting 3-4 weeks for products to be shipped from the California manufacturing facility.

Watermark Designs Brooklyn Faucet Collection Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary
Watermark Designs is kicking off a year-long celebration honoring one of its most popular products: the Brooklyn faucet collection. When Avi Abel met with Drew Stuart and Adam Rolston of Incorporated Architecture & Design (Inc.) about a project in New York, they weren't fully aware of the significance that their collaborative design and resulting collection would ultimately have. As the faucet celebrates its 10th year, it symbolizes everything that Watermark Designs represents. Designed and manufactured entirely in Brooklyn, there was never a doubt as to what the collection would be named: Brooklyn. The original design was inspired by mid-century gate valves and garden hoses used throughout New York City. The Brooklyn collection remains the finest example of Watermark Designs' ability to manufacture industrial artifacts that emulate the artisanal borough from which they hail. Emblematic of its namesake city, the faucet was part of a display in the "Made in New York" installation at the Museum of the City of New York's South Street Seaport Museum. As Brooklyn turns 10, Avi Abel decided to honor to the faucet by teaming up with Watering Minds, an organization whose sole mission is to provide clean drinking water to children in Haiti. Laufen Introduces New Creations at IMM in Cologne, Germany

Pat Jarvis is New V.P. of Sales & Marketing at Hydro Systems
Hydro Systems announced that Pat Jarvis was named new Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Pat has been a leader in the kitchen and bath industry for more than 20 years. He started with Kohler in 1993, holding numerous sales and management positions, even earning Kohler's coveted "Salesman of the Year Award" in 1995. After Kohler, he took over as the head of sales and marketing for Dornbracht, a position he held for the past 12 years. Pat will operate out of Georgia where he will direct Hydro Systems' marketing efforts, while helping to ramp up sales in anticipation of their new Atlanta based manufacturing facility, which is expected to come online in the second quarter of 2018.

Metal Style Bouvet enlarged the company's multipoint collection. The LaForge collection has ten models in two finishes for multipoint escutcheons. THG Announces Two New Hires - Emily Smith and Jonathat Britt
THG® Paris announced two new hires: a Northeast regional manager, Emily Smith, and a manager of A&D development, Jonathan Britt. Smith is responsible for developing business relationships with THG Paris' dealer and distribution network in the Northeast, providing support such as leading regular showroom and dealer training and serving as an official source to assist with project needs. Prior to joining THG Paris, Smith worked as a specifications representative for Wilsonart, where she was responsible for driving specification of Wilsonart product lines in Manhattan and Westchester County. Smith also served as a plumbing sales and design consultant at Simon's Hardware & Bath.

The top family firms in Scotland were recently honored at the sixth Herald's Scottish Family Business Awards 2017 in association with Business Gateway. Following a successful career owning retail stores in Philadelphia, acting as director for several plumbing showrooms then running his own manufacturer's representative agency, John became President of Xync Brands' Ryvyr, a manufacturer of bath furniture and fixtures. Based in Chicago, Diane Hutter recently joined KEUCO to manage the Midwest territory. She comes to KEUCO after spending the past five years working as a sales advisor in one of Chicago's premier showrooms. After spending her first year learning the market, she rose to be lead sales advisor, collaborating with some of the city's most prestigious designers, architects, and contractors on some of the most illustrious properties Chicago boasts. Hastings Tile & Bath Announces Their First CEU Course
Hastings Tile & Bath announced its first CEU has been approved for 2.0 CEU credits by AIA, ASID, IIDA, IDC and NARI. Bathroom Butler's New RIGID LOC Mounting System
Bathroom Butler has engineered and patented its own mounting system called RIGID LOC, in order to overcome the problem of loose bathroom accessories. With the RIGID LOC System on, the accessories remain firmly in place where a special T-shaped barrel clamps down and fits neatly into a groove. As the screw tightens, the T-shaped barrel slides down into place, pulling the accessory tight against the wall where it stays on securely. The RIGID LOC System has been tested vigorously in-house for its performance and durability. A strenuous knock test was developed to simulate the vibration caused by using various bathroom accessories daily. The RIGID LOC System passed more than 100,000 knocks, which was incredible when it was compared to the traditional set screw fixation, which failed after only 300 knocks. KEUCO Hosted Its Inaugural Design Tour
To intensify the dialogue with North America's specifying community, KEUCO hosted its inaugural Design Tour this past June. A group of interior designers and architects from New York and Miami spent three days visiting the Ruhr region and saw firsthand how this former German center of coal mining and heavy industry is being transformed into a modern media and technology hub. Of particular interest was the post-industrial repurposing of two former mining and production sites in Essen and Dortmund. A guided tour of the Zeche Zollverein, a coal mine turned UNESCO World Heritage site and leisure time destination for local and international visitors alike, gave the guests insight into the origin of many industrial production processes. Fairmont Designs Announces Two Managerial Promotions
Fairmont Designs, announced that effective January 1, 2018 James Lin (pictured on the left) will take on the position of Director for Fairmont Designs. In this new position, Lin will focus on product development and brand awareness for the Bath Division of Fairmont Designs. Lin joined the company as the President of the newly established bath division. Under his guidance he has led the growth of the bath division into one of the leading bath furniture manufactures in the decorative bath industry.
In preparation for this transition, the company also announced that effective September 1, 2017, Nathaniel Mucha (pictured on the right) will be promoted to the position of Executive Vice President of Bath. In this new role, Mucha will oversee daily operations of the bath division. Mucha joined Fairmont Designs in 2011 and has served as Vice President of Sales for the Bath Division since 2013. Mucha has over 20 years in the home improvement industry on both the manufacturer and retail sides of the industry. He graduated from the University of Washington and will continue to reside in Dallas, TX.

Lloyd Leblanc Named President & General Manager of AD Waters North America
AD Waters appointed Lloyd Leblanc Vice President and General Manager of AD Waters North America. Since the announcement of the AD Waters spin-off from Aquabrass in January 2017, Leblanc has steadily led the sales growth initiatives and profitability for the AD Waters brand, which introduced two leading European bath brands, Spain-based Fiora and Italy-based Simas, to the North American marketplace in Q2 and Q3 2017. In his new role with the company, Lloyd will be responsible for the implementation of sales and customer service strategies, as well as operational procedures. DXV Launches Their #ProjectDXV
DXV has launched #ProjectDXV, a photography initiative that partners with North American interior designers to assist publishing their work, and building the DXV library of quality interior design installation photos. This program runs to March 31, 2018. #ProjectDXV asks interior designers to submit their project plans and specifications featuring DXV fixtures, faucets and accessories for the chance to have their final design professionally photographed and potentially pitched to media. Up to 14 installed projects from across North America (ten from the United States, four from Canada) will be selected. DXV will work with each designer to choose a local photographer, contributing $2,500 to each styling and photography budget. Victoria + Albert moved its warehouse and offices to new facilities that will make its operations more efficient and allow room for continued growth. The new headquarters larger warehouse in Ladson, South Carolina has prime transport links with access to the I-26 highway. With 52,000 square feet, the new warehouse holds approximately 5 months' worth of stock at any time. The continued investment in high levels of inventory enables Victoria + Albert Baths to turn orders around in a matter of days - 48 hours to be exact. Alape's™ new WP.FO is not a simple basin - it is a delicate workpiece that embraces the corresponding furniture to create a homogeneous unity. With WP.FO, furniture and washstand become an intrinsic work of art inspired by current trends of modern architecture. Based on a concept by Gerhard Busalt, the shape of the homogeneous body - which combines basin, shelf and furniture - reveals influences of modern architecture. WP.FO combines material lightness and functionality into an extraordinary balance. The optimised storage space with hidden drawer runners creates the required bathroom space. The handle-less furniture is equipped with a push-to-open mechanism. Drawers can be equipped with internal drawer dividers, dispenser boxes and shelves. The front of the frame is presented in five silk-matte finishes that were specially developed for WP.FO. The two subtle brown tones - moonstone and shadow earth - integrate perfectly into a quiet living ambiance, whereas the two vibrant tones - grey fossil and aubergine - set accents in the bathroom. Hansgrohe USA is getting into the cycling spirit this season by joining in the action as a sponsor of the Amgen Tour of California - America's largest Tour de France-style cycling road race. Held in California from May 11 - 20, the prestigious annual event invites the world's top teams to compete along a demanding, multi-stage course, which travels more than 700 miles from Sacramento to Pasadena. GRAFF Introduces Their "Evolution of the Bathroom" CEU Course

Hansgrohe Ranked Top Ten in World by iF Design
In 2017, the Hansgrohe Group once again ranks among the ten best companies in the world in the field of design. In the current "company" design rankings published by the renowned International Forum Design (iF), the taps and showers specialist based in Schiltach, Germany, ranks sixth among some 2,000 listed companies. With 1,040 points, Hansgrohe improved on its 2016 position, moving up four places and surpassing Audi to become the top-listed German company. The iF "company" ranking combines the overall results of the iF awards received by a company over the past three years.
